Sponsored by the Berkeley Higashi Honganji WBA (Women’s Buddhist Association), the 2026 annual spring food bazaar will feature all of your favorite festival food: teriyaki chicken, curry rice, udon, inari sushi, kurimanju, baked goods, and more!

Berkeley Higashi Honganji’s annual mochitsuki fundraiser brings the community together to make and sell traditional rice cakes for the New Year holiday. The temple is excited to continue this cultural event in 2025.

Pickup is on Sunday, December 14th at the Berkeley temple between Noon-3 PM

In 2026, we will be celebrating the centennial year of the founding of Berkeley Higashi Honganji. As a part of the centennial festivities, we look forward to reuniting with our Ohtani alumni!
