Since there is limited space, we highly encourage interested teams to register early. Acceptance will be based on both your completion of the online TeamSnap registration and payment of the registration fee.

DIVISIONS

  • D Boys and Girls: Grades 5-6

  • E/EE Co-ed (mixed team): Grades K-4

TOURNAMENT DETAILS

  • Date: Sunday, February 22nd, 2026

  • Venue: Berkeley High School | Map | Directions + Parking

    • Entry to the lots is from Bancroft Way or Durant Ave.

    • Most adjacent street parking is free on Sundays but please read posted signs carefully.

    • Please note the entry gates to the school from MLK Jr. Way are often locked.

  • Teams: This tournament is for K-6 EE (co-ed), E (co-ed), and D (boys and girls) teams.

  • Entry Fee: $425 per team for up to 10 players. $20 per additional player past 10.

  • Games: All participating teams will play two games.

  • Rosters: Team rosters are restricted to players who have participated on that team during league play—no exceptions.

TOURNAMENT + DIVISION GUIDELINES

  • ALL divisions use 10-foot baskets, including EE.

    • EE Coaches: confirm your players can play on 10-foot baskets before registering

    • EE division uses a 27.5" ball; E & D divisions both use a 28.5" ball

  • Safety Requirement: Absolutely no jewelry allowed during games, including taping over jewelry

  • Ohtani Basketball reserves the right to accept and place teams as we see appropriate to maintain a competitive basketball tournament.

  • We encourage everyone involved to be supportive of all the players and set a good example of good sportsmanship.

  • We highly value the positive learning style of recreational play over the winning at all costs style of competitive play and hope participating teams will honor this philosophy.

  • Sunday, November 30th, 2025: Online registration opens

  • December 2025: Online apparel ordering opens (registered teams will receive more info.)

  • Friday, January 2nd, 2026: Online registration closes

  • Monday, January 5th, 2026: Deadline for completed team rosters and registration fees

  • Monday, January 19th, 2026: Online apparel ordering closes

  • End of January, 2026: Team selections announced

  • February, 2026: Tournament Schedule Distribution

  • Sunday, February 22nd: Ohtani Jamboree
